I want to believe (I really do)
in something bigger than me(and even you)
that has complete control of things
as if we're all hanging on strings.
That would make the whole scheme much more interesting.
And oh I want to...And oh I need to...
I want to believe (sometimes I do)
that there's a reasonto be (for all that we go through)
hope we're not wasting our time
working and waiting in line
only to look up and find nothing when our clocks unwind
So many questions in my mind.
The answers hard to find.
So many doctrines come from all sides,
tainted with biased lies.
And every day I search and search
to find the place where answers lurk
and hope we don't trust in those who deceive.
